“In these challenging economic times, it is invaluable to have business partners who make it their own mission to give back to the communities in which they do business and help others in need. Cape Cod Aggregates embodies philosophies like this and we’re proud to have them as members of our community.”
—Donald S. Dickinson—President, Habitat for Humanity BoD
“Sam Lorusso and Cape Cod Aggregates have in their customarily understated and quiet manner, been irreplaceable partners with the Cape Cod YMCA for more than 30 years. Hundreds of families on Cape Cod have benefited from their continued generosity.”
—Joanie Sutherland—CEO of YMCA Cape Cod
“Clearly, any community would welcome a friend such as Sam Lorusso.”
—Karen L. Bissonnette, Chief Development Officer, Community Health Center of Cape Cod.
Community involvement was one of the founding principles of CCA in 1957, and CCA’s community commitment remains a cornerstone of the company’s operations. Cape Cod Aggregates, CCA President Sam Lorusso and his family have all donated generously to charitable causes over the years. Sam was recently named to Cape Cod Life Magazine’s Hall of Fame for his contributions to local communities and charities.
“Sam Lorusso,” wrote Cape Cod Life, “is a quiet donor, and often an anonymous one. He uses his resources to make sure local kids can play hockey and that they have a place to go when school gets out. When the Fire Department needed a boat, or when the local food pantry needed a truck, Lorusso took care of it.”
Sam’s community commitment is carried down through his daughter Laura and his sons, Sam, Jr. and Paul, as well as family members and employees. From local soccer teams, to softball and baseball teams, from schools to community programs, from healthcare to public safety, CCA has donated generously and will continue to do so.
In Freetown recently, we have supported the Freetown Youth Athletic Association, donated money annually to the town’s July 4th Fireworks Display and other community contributions. In neighboring Berkley, Cape Cod Aggregates sponsors seven youth soccer teams.
